I knew Ilmo though Dacher Keltner’s psychology lab at UC Berkeley. I lost touch with him a couple years after graduating, but often thought of his kindness and effective way of nudging others to think beyond their current belief system. He challenged me to consider perspectives I may have otherwise been resistant to, through his warmth and curiosity. I always felt he was here to impact the world towards greater kindness through science. May his family and all who loved him be held in comfort and love. My condolences.
